Stormwind Stockade (23 - 29)

Requires level 2310 playersStormwind City 50.4, 66.2

Alliance groups returning to Stormwind between questing trips can clear this prison with up to ten players. Check Targorr's entrance cells, take the left wing for Dextren Ward, then clear the right wing through Kam Deepfury and Hamhock to Bazil Thredd.

Stormwind City

Preparation

  • Meet at the Stockade entrance in Stormwind's Mage Quarter. Horde groups must reach the portal through a hostile capital before starting the prison run.

The Stockade

Advance along the entrance corridor and check its side cells for Targorr; his chamber can vary. Bring each cell pull back onto cleared floor instead of catching prisoners from several doorways. The prisoner hazards below also apply while clearing either wing.

Creatures

  • Defias CaptiveLevel 23 Elite Humanoid

Defias Captives apply Infected Wound, which increases Physical damage taken. Remove it when your group can before combining another pack with the tank's existing wounds, especially when Inmates are applying Rend.

    • Infected Wound

  • Defias InmateLevel 24–25 Elite Humanoid

Defias Inmates leave Rend bleeding after their melee attacks. Restore the tank's health between cells rather than carrying the bleed and a Captive's Infected Wound into the next pull together.

    • Rend

Wounds the target causing them to bleed for 45 damage over 15 seconds.

  • Defias ConvictLevel 24–25 Elite Humanoid

Defias Convicts stun their melee target with Backhand. Keep the other prisoners controlled during the stun rather than adding another cell while the tank cannot act.

    • Backhand

Backhands an enemy, stunning it for 2 seconds.

  • Defias InsurgentLevel 25–26 Elite Humanoid

Defias Insurgents strengthen nearby prisoners with Battle Shout and reduce your melee attack power with Demoralizing Shout. Control an Insurgent before combining prison packs; its shouts affect the surrounding fight, not just its own attacks.

    • Battle Shout

    • Demoralizing Shout

Targorr the Dread

Level 24 Elite Humanoid

Targorr's extra melee swings are hardest to heal when his cell's prisoners are still attacking and Enrage is active.

Abilities

  • Thrash

Gives the caster 2 extra attacks.

Thrash adds extra attacks; control the prisoners sharing Targorr's cell so their melee damage does not arrive with those swings.

  • Enrage

Enrage increases attack speed and Physical damage. Keep healing available and use a defensive when the buff appears rather than starting another cell pull.

Tank
Bring Targorr's cell pull into the cleared corridor and save a defensive for extra Thrash swings while Enrage is active.
Healer
Keep a fast heal available for Thrash's extra swings, particularly once Targorr gains Enrage.
Damage
Control the prisoners sharing Targorr's cell so the tank does not take their attacks during Enrage; finish this pull before opening the next cell.

Left wing

At the end of the entrance corridor, take the left hallway to Dextren Ward. Clear the side cells along the intended fighting space before pulling him back into the cleared hall; Intimidating Shout can otherwise send players into prisoners. Return to the junction after Ward.

Dextren Ward

Level 26 Elite Humanoid

Dextren's Intimidating Shout turns uncleared left-wing cells into extra pulls when frightened players run into them.

Abilities

  • Intimidating Shout

The warrior shouts, causing the targeted enemy to cower in fear. Up to 5 enemies within 8 yds will flee in fear. Lasts 8 seconds.

Clear nearby cells before engaging and fight on cleared floor; break the fear when able instead of fleeing farther into the occupied wing.

Tank
Pull Dextren back into the cleared left hallway, with cleared space around the group for Intimidating Shout's fleeing players.
Healer
Restore the tank's health before Intimidating Shout can stop healing, and recover feared players from cleared floor rather than following them into occupied cells.
Damage
Clear the cells around the fighting space before starting Dextren; keep an available fear break for Intimidating Shout and return along the cleared hallway afterward.

Right wing

Clear the right hallway's side chambers for Kam Deepfury, then advance to Hamhock guarding the final chambers. Finish that pull before approaching Bazil Thredd. Clear room for ranged players and healers to stand back from Bazil without retreating into another occupied cell.

Kam Deepfury

Level 27 Elite Humanoid

Kam pairs Shield Slam's stun with Improved Blocking, so the tank needs healing through lost actions while melee avoid his shield.

Abilities

  • Shield Slam

Shield Slam damages and stuns its target. Establish control of Kam's chamber before the stun can prevent the tank from answering a loose prisoner.

  • Improved Blocking

Increases the caster's chance to block by 75% for 6 seconds.

Improved Blocking raises Kam's block chance. Melee should attack from behind him; casters can keep attacking while the buff is active.

Tank
Keep Kam still with his back available to melee during Improved Blocking, and secure his chamber's prisoners before Shield Slam stops you acting.
Healer
Heal through Shield Slam's stun instead of waiting for the tank to recover; a tank caught with the chamber's other prisoners still needs healing throughout it.
Damage
Melee attack Kam from behind to avoid his blocks; casters keep pressure on him during Improved Blocking without drawing another chamber.

Loot

Hamhock

Level 28 Elite Humanoid

Hamhock combines jumping lightning with Bloodlust before the final chambers, making interrupted casts and controlled prisoners more useful than a stacked group.

Abilities

  • Chain Lightning

Interrupt Chain Lightning and spread the back line so a completed cast cannot jump through clustered players.

  • Bloodlust

Increases an ally's attack speed by 30% for 30 seconds.

Bloodlust increases the recipient's attack speed. Control a buffed prisoner and keep the tank covered while the buff remains active.

Tank
Keep Hamhock's pull separate from Bazil's chambers and use a defensive if an enemy attacking you gains Bloodlust.
Healer
Stand apart from the other ranged players to limit Chain Lightning jumps, and watch the victim of any Bloodlusted prisoner for faster incoming melee attacks.
Damage
Arrange successive interrupts for Chain Lightning; control prisoners that receive Bloodlust rather than letting them attack freely while everyone focuses Hamhock.

Bazil Thredd

Level 29 Elite Humanoid

Bazil's Smoke Bomb punishes a group whose healer stands in the same close-range stun as the tank.

Abilities

  • Smoke Bomb

Casts a smoke bomb, stunning nearby enemies for 4 seconds.

Smoke Bomb stuns nearby players. Healers and ranged damage dealers should stand back so the entire group does not lose its actions together.

Tank
Keep the fight inside the cleared final chamber, and regain Bazil's attention after Smoke Bomb ends if another player has drawn it.
Healer
Stay at range from Bazil so Smoke Bomb does not stop your healing while the tank is stunned; keep the tank within healing reach.
Damage
Ranged players stay back from Smoke Bomb. If Bazil reaches you while the tank is stunned, move within the cleared chamber until the tank recovers instead of retreating into prisoners.
